WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

OYO is looking to hire senior leaders (Hub Heads) who will be responsible for managing the operations and P&L for their respective regions in Malaysia. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the region’s Annual Operating Plan (2019) and take complete ownership of revenue & profitability
  • Complete responsibility for the KPIs of the four key functions which support OYO’s business model on-ground:
    • Business Development (for supply acquisition)
    • Transformation (for hotel infrastructure upgrade)
    • Operations (for managing guest experience)
    • Sales (for driving offline demand through travel agents & corporates)
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics to identify opportunities improve hotel partner and guest experiences and uplift occupancy rates
  • Develop key capabilities in the region by hiring the right leadership talent under each function
  • Establish a performance-driven culture in the team where every team member has a clear sense of business direction & monthly targets
  • Collaborate effectively with the function-wise excellence teams at HQ to prioritize new initiatives & resolve key issues faced by ground teams
  • Proactively work with both national and regional/hub teams to share best practices and efficiently use common resources
  • Demonstrate talent leadership by hiring, training & grooming key members in the organization and helping them achieve their full potential

 

WHO SHOULD JOIN US?

  • At least 10 years of high quality professional experience, preferably in P&L management at large scale
  • Hands-on experience in either operations, sales or business development would be essential for the role
  • Ability to recruit, build large teams & nurture talent for long run
  • High degree of ownership, roll-up-your-sleeve attitude & willingness to get task completed
  • Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, problem solving and decision making
  • Comfortable working in early-stage setups requiring the candidate to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams locally as well as globally
  • Local market knowledge of Malaysia is a must; local market knowledge of their respective hub is preferred
