VP, Technology HR is a core part of Technology leadership for the company and will report to Group Chief Technology and Product Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing overall technology recruiting, employee relations (HRBP) and learning and development functions for entire technology organization (Engineering, Product, Design, IT and support functions) across group companies and work closely with CHRO’s team for HR operations. You will be responsible for establishing OYO as a technology employer of choice across the globe that will attract and retain the top technology talent in each location it operates at. Inside the company, you will be champion for the technology employees ensuring development and execution of Technology employee friendly employee benefits and other policies, should they need to differ from the company’s standard employee policies.


Key Responsiblities:

  • Understand company’s current and future business; develop tech talent hiring and retention strategy and drive execution to stay ahead of business in partnership with other technology leaders
  • Build a Top Notch Tecnhnology HR organisation by hiring the highly talented team and setting them for success
  • Support and work with the business in all dimensions of people management, ensuring that state of the art HR practices are in place (hiring, performance management, professional development/training, career management, succession planning, terminations, etc.)
  • Grow managers accountability and skills in managing employee’s careers, and coach managers through difficult people situations; Provide key talent with regular career coaching
  • Develop and implement a career framework for engineers, product managers, designers and IT team; Ensure consistent implementation of performance management processes
  • Work with the businesses to ensure that successors are in place for all key positions, develop and manage talent and leadership initiatives
  • Develop and manage programs that support high retention of staff ensuring development and execution of Technology employee friendly employee benefits and other policies, should they need to differ from the company’s standard employee policies.
  • Perform regular salary benchmarking, manage the salary process, and ensure consistent implementation of variable pay practices
  • Develop a consistent and cost-efficient recruiting process, and position as an employer of choice
  • Coordinate the integration of acquired employees
  • Develop and manage programs that help managers and employees cope with change
  • Manage programs that support community involvement
  • Help to increase the diversity of the workforce
  • Work closely with HR Operations to administer payroll and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and corporate policies, and develop HR policies
  • Drive constant process improvement and increase of administrative efficiency, making use of automation and self-service where appropriate, and promote the use of corporate tools


Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of Business Operations and/or Technology and/or HR experience; at-least 3 years leading or working closely with HR function in a $1B+ technology organisation
  • Hands on experience with many of: Operations management, HRBP, L&D, Recruiting and software development/IT
  • Experience managing multiple teams including experience managing other managers
  • Superior and practical understanding of accepted HR principles, ability to create/improve process while keeping the fast pace of delivery in an environment where minimal existing processes exist
  • Capable of handling multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines, have an ability to work in a group setting as well as in an independent position with a detail-oriented attitude, be highly analytical by nature, be highly organized being able to effectively prioritize tasks, have exceptionally good problem solving skills, have an ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-evolving environment, be highly adaptive and welcoming to change and passionate to learn new technologies
  • Exceptional leadership skills and be a people person with an ability to develop strong, meaningful, and lasting relationships with others. He/ she will be a likable, approachable, and relatable person who inspires trust in others who will then readily follow in his directives and trust in his insights
  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree; can be waived if you have moved mountains in past like co-founding a Unicorn
