Head Of Business Development

We are looking for highly motivated, target driven Business Development Heads to help us achieve our dream of becoming the UK’s largest hotel chain.



OYO needs you if you want to:

  • Determine and take full ownership of the supply strategy for the UK business, ensuring that agreed targets are met (sellable room nights, number of cities, take rates etc)
  • Establish a team for securing supply across the UK, and lead Business Development Manager (BDM) recruitment and talent development
  • Determine incentivization structure for BDMs, and put in place ad hoc reward and recognition schemes
  • Establish tools for tracking supply generation, and materials for pitching. develop best-in-class training programs (alongside HR) for BDMs
  • Develop a deep understanding of our target customer (the Hoteliers), sharing insights and recommendations with the broader business as appropriate
  • Ensure that feedback from the BDMs is communicated to the broader business, and acted on as necessary
  • Collaborate with other Senior Management to ensure that the UK business succeeds, and becomes an “employer-of-choice” for the best talent in the market

 

OYO need you because you have:

  • Solid and extensive experience in business development/sales, with experience of high-growth, tech-enabled, UK B2B business preferable
  • Clear track record of success in building and leading business development/sales teams
  • Educated to degree level, with a strong academic record or equivalent 
  • Vast experience of recruitment, talent development, and leadership
  • End to End Sales experience with strong negotiation skills alongside your need to know your numbers - commercial awareness is critical for success in this role
  • Clear track record of success in building and leading business development/sales teams
  • Prior experience of managing a team of Business Development Managers
  • Understand the needs of the hotelier and provide a solution in order to build a partnership
  • Be able to present OYO to prospective partners confidently and effectively to win partnerships
  • Consult existing partners of OYO on new opportunities to build their portfolios
  • A good understanding of high growth / start-up business and hotel experience preferential so if you have it great if not I am sure we can give you that knowledge through our extension L&D programme
  • Strong stakeholder management skills internal and external
  • Must be very target driven and we are looking for candidates who thrive in this environment - we are on a rocketship afterall!
